My first day in school
June 15, 2010This is the first day of school in all public schools in the country. I woke up as early as 6 a.m. right after my Dad and Mom got up to prepare Kuya Renz (my cousin who's staying with us in the house) for school. I was as excited as my Kuya who is an incoming high school freshman.
At first, my mom was hesitant to allow me to go to school. She said i may be too young or still too stubborn to be at school and that sending me to school this early would deprive me of my time to enjoy my childhood. She thinks too that i know a lot already because i have already memorized the alphabet, the different colors, shapes, numbers and can even write my name or draw animals, houses, flowers and many things.
But i insisted. I should go to school.
And so, mom has no choice but to let me be.
After Dad and I accompany Kuya to his school (which is just walking distance from our house), my parents brought me to the nearest Day Care center.
Mom was wary i would not be accepted because it is already first day of school. Good thing the teacher still accepts late enrollees like me as the number of pupils is still below the limit, which is 30 per class.
Now, i'm officially a schoolgirl. And i'm so excited because i'll be having a lot of friends and playmates!
